Chipped/Granulated
Mixtures
Sho-koh, or
granulated incenses, are made from a blend of
natural aromatic ingredients from the
Buddhist sutras:
Aloeswood (Vairochana-Buddha
Family,
Clove (Akshobya
-- Vajra or Wisdom Family),
Sandalwood (Amitabha--Padma
or Lotus Family),
Turmeric (Amogasiddhi
-- Karma Family),
Borneol (Ratnasambhava--Ratna
Family).
These
ancient recipes were originally burned on Buddhist
altars for purification. We suggest that you
store them in a cool, dry place away from direct
sunlight. Sprinkle them directly on a piece of
burning charcoal,
burn on top of makko, dar,
or laha as in an 'incense trail' or heat
up slowly on a Mica plate to release their
timeless fragrances.
Pure
chipped
Aloeswood, Sandalwood and
Palo Santo are
also available.
